Neon Necessities

Remember back in the day when neon and florescent clothes and accessories where the big trend? I’m talking early 80’s with lace florescent headbands, layered neon belts and oversized neon t-shirts all thanks to Madonna. I would layer on the neon goods and strut my stuff down to the bus stop thinking, “I look good”. In reality I am sure I looked absolutely ridiculous. I never thought the day would come when neon clothes and accessories were the epitome of high style. But low and behold the day has come.

Stylish Storage for Kiddy Clutter

I once had a stylish and sophisticated abode worthy of dinner parties, cocktail gatherings and the occasional bridal or baby shower. Of course this was all B.C. (Before Child). My beautifully decorated home is now littered with toys, shoes, clothes and other random things thanks to my two year old. You would think I’d have thighs of steel with all the squatting, bending and lunges I constantly do picking up all the clutter.

Because of this I am always on a quest for stylish storage solutions. It gives me peace to see the clutter crammed in esthetically pleasing baskets, buckets and tubs. Below are a few I happened upon on my latest search for MORE storage.

Seeing Spots

I think so. My heart flutters for this beautiful fabric cornice. The ball fringe, double sided fabrics, its perfect pleating and draping to the floor. Gorgeous! I would love to make this one day. Any takers?

There's Inspiration Around Every Corner

Perfect for a Boy or Girl Update

As promised here is an update to the red and brown crib bedding. Remember this? It's the original rendering the client sent of how she wanted her bedding to look.

Here’s the finished product and I think it turned out beautiful! The red is a deep crimson accented with a soft ivory and chocolate brown. Please excuse my amateur photography; these pictures do not do these fabrics justice. The client requested red bow ties. Check. Soft cuddly minky for the bumper insides. Check. A tailored center kick pleat crib skirt. Check. Single monogram accent pillow. Check. And a reversible minky blanket. Check. Click on the photos to enlarge.
